>> GET BACK TO THE BASICS with WARREN ARMSTRONG << This new year, consider setting a larger, more comprehensive intention - one to keep you on track for the entire year. Your New Year’s intention may be as straightforward as committing to a daily yoga practice, to complete a teacher training, or maybe to change some aspects of your lifestyle. Maybe your intention is a little more broad like finding peace, allowing stillness, or leading your life with love. You might want to think of your New Year’s intention as a type of New Year’s resolution, but one emanating from a place of self-care and gratitude. Gratitude is key for New Year’s intentions. Gratitude is a multiplier, so whatever it is that you feel grateful for will continue to manifest in your life. As you begin to contemplate what your New Year’s intention (or intentions) will be, look for gratitude in all that you have. Sit in stillness and tap into the energy of the heart center, and allow yourself to actually FEEL the energy that flows from the heart.
With the holidays over, it is time to get back to the basics. Let’s get you back on your mat. Get you back to your SAT NAM (your True Self).

Kundalini Yoga combines breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body locks and postures to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, and purify the blood. It brings balance to the body, mind, and soul.

Kundalini Yoga is a yoga for householders, for people who have to cope with the daily challenges and stresses of holding jobs, raising families, and managing businesses. It is a path for everyone who wants the skills to cope successfully with the challenges of our times.
>> HOW DOES THIS WORKSHOP FLOW? <<
Each session begins with a light Kundalini Yoga practice in order to move and prepare the body for the cleansing and healing that is to come (don’t worry the yoga is appropriate for all levels).
We then move into deep relaxation with a symphonic Paiste Gong. The Gong is a beautiful reinforced vibration that aids in releasing blocks, reducing tension and stimulating circulation in the body. The Gong impacts your nervous system, strengthening and healing it from any damage caused by stimulants (ie: coffee, stress). The vibrational tone of the gong will melt away all stress and worry, putting you into a state of bliss! The sounds develop, wash over and around you to vibrate all of the body’s cells. The waves of sound carry your body, and mind to a feeling of peace and connectedness. Your mind will have no defense to the Gong after 90 seconds!
After the Gong, we use sound (mantra) to remind us that the entire universe was built on sound, and vibration. And, as we vibrate a specific combination of sounds, we are able to tune into a different level of consciousness.

Warren Armstrong (Spiritual Name: Chand Shiva Singh) is a Level 1 certified teacher of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation as taught by Yogi Bhajan. He has practiced yoga for more than 15 years but has a strong, passionate love for Kundalini Yoga and the Gong. His greatest joy is in teaching, sharing and inspiring others to find their wholeness, radiance and bliss.
