Living With Intention | Yoga, Journaling, & Meditation Session is a workout for the mind, body, and spirit. Each session combines Yoga, Meditation,  Guided Journaling, Breathwork, and other practices to bring stillness and intention into your being. The goal is to build strength, resilience, and flexibility in all aspects of your life.

Each session begins with a breathwork session to center you into the moment and ground you into the space. Then Beth and Yogi will lead a discussion with exercises around the theme of the month. This leads to a nourishing yoga session led by Beth, with poses chosen to compliment the theme and sink the learning deep into your body. Finally, you’ll lay back and relax into a final guided meditation by Yogi Marquis.

You’ll leave open, relaxed, and equipped with tools to better weather life's storms. You’ll have the space to respond rather than the rush to react. Amidst the sea of worry, you will own a port of peace. While others are dancing to the ding of their devices, you’ll be a conscious creator, living your purpose with intention.

April’s Theme is Living with Joy

The goal of this month’s workshop is to learn processes that allow us to reduce stress and increase our acceptance of Joy.

Joy, Peace, Harmony, and Happiness are natural states of existence. Babies and Animals exist in a state of joy and happiness until the confines and activities of our civilization intervene, manifesting fear, darkness, anger, and depression. We have more toys, more choices, and more abundance of food, clothing, shelter, and mobility than any people in recorded human history. However, survey after survey shows that people in our country self-report higher levels of unhappiness and dissatisfaction than ever before.

Our world of constant stimulation, activity, and social media measuring has degraded the sense of joy and peace that many of us experience in our lives. We are more familiar with the negative state of depression than with its positive opposite, Joy. In analogy speak, Depression is essentially a state of chronic sadness, and Joy is essentially a state of chronic happiness. To live in joy doesn’t mean that bad things don’t happen or that you won’t have any sadness. Living in Joy means that your internal default nature is set to embrace the miracle of this life that we are all in. Though challenges and difficulties will arise, you have the tools, practices, and perspective to be able to bounce back, find your center, and enjoy this life that you are already living.

If you’re on a roller coaster, you can either panic, trying to escape with every twist and turn, or you can grip the bar, lean into the dips, and enjoy the ride. Once you’re strapped into the rollercoaster of life, you might as well enjoy it until the end.

This month’s Living with Intention will break the cycle of emotional poverty. We will review practices and journal prompts that monks, yogis, and neuroscientists agree reduce stress and increase happiness, well-being, and joy. We will even give you a way to make a ride in traffic into a pleasant experience. This month’s session will help you rethink and reset the trajectory of your path so that you can live with joy.
