Seah
Seah has been the preferred name for Chelsea Heikes, since it was given to her while dancing for Japanese Butoh Master, Katsura Kan, in South East Asia starting in 2009.
Movement and meditation has been a vital part of Seah’s life since the teenage years - studying dance, running cross country, and a burgeoning interest in yoga and meditation at the age of 15. Certainly a free spirit and artist, seah has traveled the globe, studied and taught many modalities of movement, lived in a Tibetan Buddhist community, and landed here in 2021.
A forever student of life and seeker of knowledge through good-spirited fun, seah is also the art teacher at Liberty Intermediate School and enjoys exploring the endless creativity of source with the young artists. Unlocking inner voice and creative expression has been the line of seah’s spiritsong in this life - whether through teaching kids at American public schools or working in war torn communities such as El Salvador and Myanmar.

Alyce Hayes
Alyce’s introduction to yoga was a Rodney Yee DVD titled ‘Yoga for Beginners’ and a yoga mat she thought would look cute rolled out on her hardwood floor. It was more about aesthetics than function.
Shortly after moving to Chicago in her early 20’s she took her first yoga class, having been told that it was ‘meditation for people who couldn’t sit still.’ Suffering from severe anxiety and depression at the time, it sounded like an ideal way to leave the apartment and find some balance. It only took one class to get her hooked, and she’s been a yogi ever since.
After many years of deepening her practice and experiencing first-hand the benefits of yoga on her mental, physical and spiritual health, Alyce decided to begin her journey teaching others. In 2019, she received her Yin Yoga Certification.
Away from the studio, Alyce is a tarot reader, writer and music artist, crafting stories through prose and melody. She can occasionally be found in the wild, haunting bookstores and cafes. Don’t mind her face; you can always say “Hi.”
